Co-branding and partnerships

Overview

It’s important to show consistency with our logo treatments when we partner with vendors. There should be an equal weight and hierarchy to the individual marks, and they should be separated by a vertical rule.

Scaling partner logos

The partner logo should fit within a 200% height and 100% width of our lockup. Enlarge the partner logo until it matches either the 200% height or 100% width of the Sport Chek Wordmark.

A – 1/4 the width of the Sport Chek Wordmark
B – 200% height of the Sport Chek Wordmark
C – Width of the Sport Chek Wordmark

The above example shows a partner logo enlarged until it matches 200% height (B) of the Sport Chek Wordmark

The above example shows a partner logo enlarged until it matches the width (C) of the Sport Chek Wordmark

Adjusting odd sizes

In certain situations a partner logo might seem too large or too small. In these instances you can scale the partner logos +/- 10% to achieve a better balance between the two logos.

A – 1/4 the width of the Sport Chek Wordmark
B – 200% height of the Sport Chek Wordmark
C – Width of the Sport Chek Wordmark
D – Adjusted partner logo scaled to 110%

The above example shows a partner logo enlarged to 110% of the suggested (B) height to achieve a better balance between logos.

Examples

Official partnerships

The title to be locked up with the Sport Chek logo should be 1/2 the height of the Sport Chek wordmark. It should be separated below the logo by the height of the Chek.

A – 1/2 the height of the Sport Chek Wordmark

B – Official Partner lockup

Partner logos should remain within the bounds of the height and width of the lockup. Logos can exceed these parameters by 25% +/-. Use discretion to balance the logos equally.

A – 1/4 the width of the Sport Chek Wordmark
B – Height of lockup
– Width of the Sport Chek Logo

Examples

Olympic partnership

For our Olympic team partnership we need to follow COC guidelines for the lockup. Files are available for download in all formats. Do not recreate the lockup. Below shows examples of the lockups construction.

A – Standard horizontal lockup
B – Secondary horizontal lockup
C – Small scale horizontal lockup (Only to be used when designation is illegible due to type size)
D – Vertical lockup

Note

The COC guidelines use the Olympic rings as a spacing marker. This is different than our partner lockup spacing.
