Level 1a – The Big Brand Sale

Overview

The Big Brand Sale is one of our highest-level sales. The focus of this sale is the wide range of brands that are involved. We show this through the main graphic element which is a pattern consisting of our most important brands as a background.

Identity components

Lockup
The Big Brand Sale stacked lockup. There are three variations available.

Logo Pattern
A tone-on-tone pattern showcasing some of the top brands involved with the sale.

Lockup construction

A – Modifier (Date)
B – Save story equal to 4x modifier (A)
C – Leading equal to modifier (A)
D – Leading is 2x modifier (A)

When constructing a lockup always begin with the predesigned template. Modifiers can be altered to accommodate different line/word lengths, but should be kept as close to the original size ratio as possible.

Lockup hierarchy

When creating lockups for The Big Brand Sale, we recommend the event name is significantly larger than the save story. These events are building brand equity and we want the event title to be the top level in the hierarchy. For other options in lockup hierarchy see the Lockup Scaling page.

Orientation

The Big Brand Sale lockups have three orientations in order to best fit the needs of different channels. Always select the orientation that has the most presence in your layout.

A – Vertical
B – Stacked
C – Horizontal

Pattern

The Big Brand Sale pattern needs to be created specifically for each event to ensure the proper brands are represented. The brand logos should all feel equal in visual weight. Ensure the most important logos are in a high visibility location.

Do

A – Keep the text area clear
B – Keep equal sizing and spacing between the logos
C – Place SKU items on top of the logo pattern
D – Bleed the logos off the artboard to insinuate more logos

Don't

A – Place the vendor logos behind copy
B – Enlarge logos and shrink others
C – Place logos on top of SKU images
D – Perfectly place all the logos within the artboard

Colour

As an event with major brand equity, we stay within our core colour palette for The Big Brand Sale. The logos are set in a custom grey to achieve the correct contrast.
