Promotional events

Overview

Sport Chek promotional events are organized by levels. These levels label each event according to its urgency, helping to differentiate and distinguish them by importance.

Principles

Systemized
Events follow a basic system to create consistency and executional efficiencies across print and digital.

Stand-Out
This system is designed to disrupt the sea of sameness in a relentless, cluttered retail environment.

Modernized
The look and feel of this system is contemporary, reflecting our evolved design system; impactful without alienating longtime customers.

Sales-driving
The system is designed to create a sense of urgency, driving purchase in store and online.

Accessible
This system improves readability and information hierarchy, leading to more effective communications.

Framework

Within the different levels of the Sport Chek promo events we adjust the hierarchy of information as we get in to lower-level events. Level 1 events lead with a larger event lockup and the sales percentage is secondary. In level 2 to 3 events, that hierarchy flips and we lead with larger sale percentages and the event title becomes secondary. Level 4 events focus on sales percentages with the type treatment reduced in size and volume.
