Overview

We emphasize our largest retail moments by using a unique pattern and leading with our tagline: "The gift of sport." In promo cases, while the pattern elements may be used, the tagline should never be used as it distracts from the promo lockup messaging.

This page outlines how to use this system across different events and promotions.


Lockups

We have three orientations of our lockup. Each one has been carefully spaced and sized to ensure maximum impact and legibility. Always use the supplied lockup files and refrain from typing or recreating the tagline.

Colour palette

We primarily use a greyscale palette for the Mother's/Father's Day creative. Red can be used for type/frame/supergraphic and occasionally for patterns if necessary.

 

Pattern

For our Mother's/Father's Day events we use the generic gift box pattern. We use Pale Grey as a primary option for Mother's Day and Mid Grey as a primary option for Father's Day. There are alternate red and white colour patterns available if necessary.

When using the generic gift box patterns, crop into the pattern to make it feel exciting. Avoid cropping too wide where the pattern starts to feel small and busy.

Holiday

Holiday pattern

Colour palette

We primarily use red for our Holiday creative with white type. There is flexibility with background colours to accommodate special situations or to maintain freshness.

 

Pattern

The red pattern is our primary choice for holiday events. The secondary pattern is Pale Grey and White used with promotional events or darker sku photography that requires a lighter background colour.

Promotional Events

Our Retail Moments identity can be paired with promotional events that fall within the same time frame. In these scenarios do not use "the gift of sport" tagline. Only use the patterns.

Do

  • Use a pattern in a neutral colour palette
  • Leave out the "gift of sport" tagline to let the promotional event have prominance

  • Use a coloured pattern that competes with the promotional palette
