Brand endorsement: partnership

Approach

When combining the Canadian Tire Brandmark with a partner's logo, they should always be separated by a keyline—and the partner logo may not be more than 80% of the size of the Canadian Tire Brandmark in any direction. The priority is always with Canadian Tire first, then the partner.

Horizontal lockups

The two logos are separated by a single .75pt keyline, in CT Soft Black or CT White, at one leaf-distance from each logo. The keyline is the height of the CT Triangle, including the white outline.

The Secondary Brandmark may be used in certain instances—see the Brandmark page for guidance. The partner logo should be centered with Triangle in the Canadian Tire Brandmark.

Vertical lockups

Vertical partnership lockups are constructed in a similar way to the horizontal variation. The key difference is in the spacing: we adjust the total distance between the Canadian Tire Brandmark and the partner logo to 1.5 maple leaves; the 0.75pt keyline sits halfway between our Brandmark and the partner logo.

The partner logo should always be centered with the Canadian Tire Brandmark. The two are separated by 1.5 maple leaves, with a 0.75pt keyline bisecting the white space.

Shown here with the Secondary Brandmark. Note that the partner logo is 80% the size of the Canadian Tire Brandmark (including the white outline).

Olympic partnership

For our Olympic team partnership we need to follow COC guidelines for the lockup. Files are available for download in all formats. Do not recreate the lockup. Below shows examples of the lockup's construction.

A – Standard composite lockup – for use in lockup applications greater than 0.5" (36px) in height.

B – Micro composite lockup – for use in lockup applications between 0.25 - 0.5" (18-36px) in height. Avoid using a Brand Signature at less than 1⁄4" (18px).

C – Standard tri-composite lockup – for use in lockup applications greater than 0.5" (36px) in height.

D – Micro tri-composite lockup – for use in lockup applications between 0.25 - 0.5" (18-36px) in height. Avoid using a Brand Signature at less than 1⁄4" (18px)

Note

The COC guidelines use the Olympic rings as a spacing marker. This is different than our standard partner lockup spacing.
