Omni elements
Omni elements summary
Similar to the Triangle element, Omni elements are unique, own-able design tools which can be used to create consistency across similar messages or moments in time. These elements are not foundational to the Canadian Tire brand, but help to support Omni initiatives and create consistent customer experiences with our brand. Some Omni elements are not tied to a particular identity or promo event. These elements can be used freely based on thresholds that must be met, unique to each element.
CT Confetti
The CT Confetti is created using the Triangle element in various sizes and brand colours to create a dynamic and celebratory pattern, unique to Canadian Tire. The Confetti is an Omni element which can be applied to both promotional and functional designs when in support of a celebration, such as birthdays, holidays and Grand Openings.
The Confetti pattern can be customized to fit with any composition and does not need to appear in any particular pattern unless indicated by an existing Omni identity (see Grand Opening).
To use the CT Confetti, a design must:
- Be representative of the CTR brand
- Support a message of celebration
Creating the CT Confetti pattern
The Confetti pattern can be custom made using the CT Triangle elements and adjusting the scale, rotation and brand colour to create the appearance of a randomized pattern.

D – CT Confetti—white Illustrator brush
To aid in the creation of these elements, there are Adobe Illustrator Scatter Brushes available for download. These brushes are available in CT Red, CT Dark Red, CT Steel and white and can be used on light or dark backgrounds. Scale can be adjusted through the altering of the stroke weight and strokes expanded for the fine tuning of your pattern.
Best practices and dos and don'ts
Do vary scale, rotation and colour.
Don't create static, organized confetti patterns.
Do create the illusion of depth using scale and overlapping confetti.
Don't apply confetti to designs which do not support a celebratory message.
Do create dynamic patterns that have direction and changing density of confetti.
Don't create shapes using the confetti pattern.
